Dr Steven Sornachalam holds a post graduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Medicine from Monash University and has recently completed five years of training as a Specialist in Occupational and Environmental medicine. He will soon be registered as a Specialist Occupational Physician in the Australian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He is also an EMO (External Medical Officer) for Workcover and familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation in addtion to being registered as Nominated Medical Advisor with the Department of Mines and Resources

» Emergency & After Hours

Our doctors work with other practices to provide emergency care at the Mater Private After Hours Service (4965 5444) when surgeries are closed. No private medical insurance required but a fee is charged. Mackay Base Hospital provides a free after hours service for emergencies.
