Dr Pasan Randunu

Dr Pasan graduated with his MBBS in 2016 and went on to work across several medical specialties. Since then, he has been working in the Emergency Department at Mackay Base Hospital, gaining extensive experience in acute and complex care. He also holds a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine (2022). Dr Pasan has a special interest in caring for the elderly, wound management and skin cancer checks, chronic disease management, paediatrics, and men’s health. He is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care to the Mackay community, which he has grown to love for its warm climate and lifestyle. Outside of medicine, Dr Pasan enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends.

Dr Tamanna Tasrin

Dr. Tamanna Tasrin has been living and working in Mackay for the past six years, delivering patient-focused care as a General Practitioner. Dr Htet Naing

Htet graduated in 2019 and relocated to Australia from Myanmar in 2022. She worked at Mackay Base Hospital for two years across various specialties, gaining broad clinical experience. Known for her gentle and thorough approach, Htet takes the time to listen and provide personalised care. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and is passionate about ongoing learning. Outside of work, Htet enjoys painting, solving Rubik’s cubes, and unwinding with a good Netflix movie.

Dr Rebecca Johnson
General Practitioner, Female, BAppSci, MD
Rebecca has been living and working in Mackay for the past 6 years. She was awarded an MD (Doctor of Medicine) from the University of Queensland in 2018 and has worked mainly in emergency medicine and orthopaedics since then. She is keen to see all types of patients and has particular interest in looking after children and managing injuries including fractures and wounds.

Dr Rajaswi Sainju

Dr Rajaswi Sainju completed her medical degrees at James Cook University in 2012 and has obtained additional qualifications in skin cancer. She has practised medicine for several years in Mackay (including at the Mackay Base Hospital), Sarina and Proserpine, and has lived in Mackay over two decades. Dr Sainju loves being a GP as this art of medicine takes a holistic approach to touch all aspects of patient health care needs. Dr Labiba Ahmad

Dr Labiba graduated as a doctor in 2009, gaining post graduate experience in Pakistan, before moving to Australia. Following completion of Australian Medical Council exams, Dr Labiba worked at Mackay Base Hospital in various specialities, including Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Cardiology and Emergency. Dr Labiba really likes the continuity of care and holistic approach when looking after her patients in General Practice. Dr Labiba has three children, who keep her busy at home. In her free time, Dr Labiba loves watching movies, reading books and cooking.

Dr Chirag Mitra completed his medical studies in Russia and then worked in Emergency in India. In 2015, he moved to Australia and worked as a GP in Emerald and then Mirani. He completed the Sydney Child Health Program in 2018 and Fellowship with RACGP in 2019. He has total of over 12 years of experience as a GP/Doctor He is a keen cricket lover and loves to spend time with his family and friends. Dr Joseph Rillera

Dr Joseph Rillera finished his medical training in the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Centre, Philippines. Dr Joseph has been working in Mackay as a GP for the past seven to eight years.
His special interests are in general practice - particularly in adult medicine and children's health.

Dr Reeshma Pattan
General Practitioner, Female, MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Reeshma graduated from India and has over 18 years of post-graduate experience. She has extensive experience in Paediatrics having worked as a Junior Paediatric Consultant before migrating to Australia in 2011. In Australia, she has worked in major hospitals (Royal Hobart Hospital, Monash Medical Centre, Melbourne and the Mackay Base hospital) and in various departments including Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Paediatrics, General Medicine and General Surgery, which has given her a wide range of skills. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Reeshma has a special interest in Child health, Women’s and preventative health, and advocates holistic family medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and loves to spend time with her family and the backyard garden.

Dr Rachel Bidgood completed her medical & GP training in London, UK. Dr Rachel has worked in Mackay since 1993 and is now a medical director of One Stop Medical.
Dr Rachel is experienced in all aspects of family medicine, with special interests in women's health, children's health, nutrition and preventative health, weight loss management, stress management, travel medicine and perimenopause.
